Word Clouds: Fun and Insightful

Wordle has a cool word cloud generator which gives a nice cloud view of all the text in a particular document, blog or, website. It may seem like a frivolous tool, but I find it rather insightful. Similar to a Tag Cloud the Wordle tool gives you a visual representation of what was really said. From an analysis perspective you can see what the person has been focusing on in their writing. From a planning perspective you can tweak your message if the right words do not seem to be highlighted as you’d like. Take a look at this blogs word cloud:

For kicks The Big Picture put the Obama and McCain acceptance speeches through it to see what it looked like.
